Blanca

I met Blanca in Paseo de Gracia, i "fell in love" with the way she put on the brown Shawl she wrapped around her waist. From the italian region of switzerland, and a world traveller she is now in Bcn. Ironically, I had eaten an Italian Canoli before as my brunch at Hotel Praktik Bakery, cool restaurant and quality products in Provença 279. So, two tips here: try to dress a Shawl with a long dress to give the outfit an elegant look and try the canolis at Praktik, you won,t regret! ;)

At Flea Market, the "mercadillo" or Street Market, that takes place everymonth in Barcelona, it is a worth-while outdoor plan for the weekend. Alone, with friends, boyfriend or even your grandma!  There are lots of  clothes stands where you can find shoes, coats, shirts for every taste at an affordable price; mostly Vintage, from the 60s, 70s, and also for nowadays &  past seasons from well-known brands. Not only clothes, also books for 1-2 euros, house stuff, besides all kind of antiques.

If  you want to take a break from the market, it is a good idea to walk five minutes to Rambla del Raval, and try the delicious hamburguers of "La Informal". We had the "Ravalera", with mango Chutney, highly recommended! Also, brie with nuts and goat cheese with caramelised onion.

Handcraft artists also show their particular creations and promote them like the below image of Las Hebillas de Coco that you can check out at www.facebook.com/Lashebillasdecoca, where the artist herself make original hairpins and velvet bodies.
